Jon Rahm: Five Stunning Professional Wins

Just last Sunday world number four Jon Rahm captured his fifth win as a professional golfer in less than 22 months at the Open de Espana. With the two-shot victory at his native championship, he further cemented himself into the group of young golfers who seem destined to dominate the game over the next decade or more.

We've all been marvelling at the prodigious Spaniard's recent form here in the Hole19 office and felt it's only right to document his continued rise in the game - and to remind ourselves of each of those glorious wins.

So, sit back and enjoy some golf shots that are truly 'out of the top drawer' as we take a whistle-stop tour through five separate tournament victories, with each further proving Rahm to be worthy of his status at the top-table of world golf.

If you're a European then you can take comfort in Ryder Cup year; if you're American, well, best of luck!!

Maiden Victory: Farmers Insurance Open (January 2017)

After threatening to pick up a first PGA Tour win on two separate occasions in 2016 (at the Quicken Loans and RBC Canadian Open), Rahm finally got over the line at the Farmers Insurance Open thanks to a final round 65 and powerful finish at Torrey Pines.

Catch the highlights of Rahm's final round and don't go anywhere until you have seen that snaking 60ft putt for eagle on the 18th:

Victory #2 - DDF Irish Open (July 2017)

Rahm was faced with a rules controversy during his final round at Portstewart Golf Club after seemingly replacing his ball in the wrong spot on the 6th green. It would have been academic given the dominating six-shot win but, as is always the case, the emails came and grumblings were heard.

Regardless, the record tournament score of 24-under-par was stunning.

Below you can watch 'Rahmbo's' best shots from the week on Northern Ireland's north coast:

Victory #3 - DP World Tour Championship (November 2017)

The season-ending tournament on the European Tour in Dubai was the scene of Tommy Fleetwood's crowning as Race to Dubai champion and also saw Rahm capture his third professional title.

The one-stroke victory over both Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Shane Lowry remains his highest-profile victory to date and catapulted Rahm to a then career-high fourth position in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

Victory #4 - CareerBuilder Challenge (January 2018)

A second win on the PGA Tour came via a playoff against American Andrew Landry at the CareerBuilder Challenge in California.

The quality of the field may not have been as strong as when winning previously but Rahm was no less thrilled to get a win in the books early in 2018. The week at La Quinta Golf Club would lead him to his highest OWGR to date (2nd).

Catch the highlights of Rahm's win below:

Victory #5 - Open de Espana (April 2018)

As already alluded to, just last week Rahm took his national tournament - the Open de Espana. It was a performance of resilience and grit but was also at least partially assisted by his compatriot Nacho Elvira's late error.

Make no mistake though, the 23-year-old needed all of his brilliance to survive the scare of a horrendously wayward tee shot on the 17th. Rahm being Rahm, he was more than up to the test.

The eventful highlights of Sunday's final round are below:

A wonderful win, at a wonderful golf course, in a wonderful country.
