2018 FedEx Cup Playoffs: Who will be crowned PGA Tour Champion?
Brandt Snedeker's impressive three-stroke victory at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina brought the regular season to a close with the upcoming span of four separate lucrative events set to determine the PGA Tour Player of the Year.

This week sees the first event take place at Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey - here's the full schedule below:
The Northern Trust – Ridgewood Country Club, Paramus, New Jersey (Aug 23-26)
Dell Technologies Championship – TPC Boston, Massachusetts (Aug 31-Sep 3)
BMW Championship – Aronimink Golf Club, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (Sep 6-9)
Tour Championship – East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia (Sep 20-23)
FedEx Cup Playoffs Format
The top 125 golfers in the FedEx Cup rankings have booked their starting place at Ridgewood Country Club, while the top-100 post-event will head to TPC Boston for the Dell Technologies Championship. There's a new venue for the BMW Championship in the Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania where the top-70 will tee it up before the field is finally whittled down to the final 30 golfers for the seasonal finale.
A total bonus purse of $35M is on offer throughout the FedEx Cup playoffs with a mammoth $10M going to the man who is crowned the 2018 PGA Tour Player of the Year at East Lake Country Club in Atlanta.
As well as the bonus fund, each of the four events is individually worth $9 million in prize money, giving a cumulative $36 million on offer throughout the events.
Last season's champion: Justin Thomas
Justin Thomas won last season's FedEx Cup just a matter of weeks after his maiden major title and few will have argued with his status as the 2017 PGA Tour Player of the Year.
Who misses out this year?
The most surprising absentee from this year's final quartet of tournaments on the PGA Tour is the 2017 Masters champ Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard just needed a solid final round at the Wyndham Championship to claim his place in the final 125 but he could manage only an even-par 70.
Other notable golfers to miss out include Irishman Shane Lowry, 2010 U.S. Open champion and the U.S. Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk.
Prediction Time
Choosing a winner of the FedEx Cup can be a little tricky but here at Hole19 HQ we aren't ones to shirk a challenge. Here's our own 'players to watch'
Leading chance: Brooks Koepka
Two major championships in 2018 and three in the space of two years help demonstrate that Koepka is the man for the big occasion.
It's very likely that he will be fending off the likes of Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson but we like the composure he showed at Bellerive Country Club to capture the Wanamaker Trophy. If he can carry this assured play through the four playoff events then we could have another maiden FedEx Cup champion.
Catch the highlights of Koepka's final round of the PGA Championship below:
Don't rule out: Tiger Woods
If Tiger makes four appearances in the season-ending FedEx Cup Playoffs he will have played in the highest number of tournaments in a PGA Tour season in over 10 years. Recent performances suggest that a Tour win is a matter of when and not if. He may not win the overall points race but it wouldn't surprise us if he took one of the Playoff events.
Possible sleeper: Xander Schauffele
Winning last year's Tour Championship helped Schauffele to the Rookie of the Year accolade and he's followed up with some great play in 2018. Now sitting at number 17 in the Official World Golf Rankings, he must be in with a chance of featuring at the business end this year again.
