Today marks the 2-year anniversary of Hole19's launch. It was Masters Thursday 2 years ago. We've come a long way, having welcomed more than 800,000 users, mapped 39,000 courses, and hosted 3 Million Rounds of golf in over 154 countries around the world.
Little did we know that 2 years after launching the product during The Masters, we would have a professional golfer actually using Hole19. As you might already have heard, Matt Fitzpatrick (ranked 43rd in the world) announced that he was joining Team Hole19 during the practice round at Augusta National. We’re really excited about this new partnership and think Matt represents everything what Hole19 stands for: Young, Tech-Savvy and a Rising Star!
As we were building Hole19, the greatest challenge was to develop an app that works well for golfers using it in a variety of different ways, without compromising the others. Some golfers use Hole19 just for GPS distances to the front, center and back of the green. Others use it for the digital scorecard and stats and many use a combination of the above, plus the social feature and most recently are discovering new golf courses to play on with the new Course Profiles.
Through continued focus on delivering amazing user experiences, we look forward to serving many more golfers to an even higher level of satisfaction this year.
We couldn't be more excited about our product pipeline as Hole19 fundamentally shifts from being a product to a multi-platform suite of products.
In particular, we're excited about golfers easily reaching out to any golf course around the world (we cover up to 95% of the existing fairways) through Hole19.
Beyond that, all we can say is that BIG THINGS are the works.
Enjoy the Masters and enjoy Hole19!
