Fancy finding out how to smash your golf ball farther? Silly question, right?
Gaining additional power and distance is a never-ending quest for us golfers and this week, top golf coach and friend of Hole19 Eric Corgorno is here to give us all a few drills to help hit the ball higher and longer than ever!
As Eric explains, how far forward your upper body goes during the downswing dictates your angle of attack and swing direction. Keeping your head behind the ball (he explains exactly what that means in this video!) creates a shallow angle of attack, better compression, higher shots and more speed.
Check out these simple drills and feels to help you stay behind the ball...
We see slow-motion video of Adam Scott, Rory McIlroy and Bubba Watson doing this in their swings – with a wedge, iron and a driver. Eric also shares two great golf drills at the end for keeping your head behind the ball in the golf swing.
