currently in place, it seems unlikely that will be the case.“It means there is some extra availability this year and it is a fantastic chance for British golfers to make the most of the opportunity.”

There is even more opportunity with the Ailsa Sunset Golf package (3–4pm, £199 Mon –Thurs, £250 Fri – Sun) to play late-afternoon rounds – and a special rate for resident Scots from 11.30am. (Rate available throughout the month of June).

The Triple Crown package (starting from £649) includes a round on both the Ailsa and King Robert the Bruce, as well as the historic links at nearby Prestwick Golf Club but must be booked by calling 01655 334 032.
