The folks over at Golf Digest thought it might be fun to test PGA Tour Pro, Justin Thomas to smash balls as far as he could.
Sounds fairly standard right? Well, they made it slightly less normal by adding a baseball bat, a shovel and a mini-golf putter to the tools he would use.
Why did they pick Justin? Despite his small stature Justin is, pound-for-pound, one of the longest hitters on the tour thanks to his 'Smash Factor'.
Smash Factor his calculated by dividing the ball speed by the club speed. Essentially it tells you how efficiently energy/speed is being transferred from the club to the ball.
