Cabo Girão's skywalk
The Madeira skywalk is undoubtedly not for the faint-hearted. Jutting out of the
side of some of the highest cliffs in Europe, the Cabo Giaro is the world's
second-highest viewing point. Get ready for astonishing views of both Rancho and Cabo Girão, as well as stunning panoramic views over the ocean as far as
the eye can see.It can be busy with tourists, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Sample the local delacacies
As you might expect, Madeira's cuisine and wine have a strong Mediterranean
and Portuguese influence. In fact, Madeira is one of the cornerstones of the
Portuguese wine industry, with its vineyards dating back to the 15th century.
After a day on the fairways, you'll have your pick of the many aromatic local
wines to celebrate another great round.
You'll also need to try Poncha - the traditional alcoholic drink made fresh with
citrus juice, honey and rum. It's powerful stuff, but you know what they say -
when in Madeira, do as the Madeirans do.

Roam around Funchal's 'Old Town'
One of Madeira's tourist hotspots is its largest city, Funchal. The 'Old Town' in
Funchal is made up of small and cosy alleys where locals and tourists come
and stroll during the day and enjoy beautiful and quiet evenings.
The area is littered with many bars and restaurants offering hearty meat dishes

On a day away from the course, check out The Monte Sledges for something a
little bit different. It's an unforgettable ride where men in straw hats push you
down the mountain towards Funchal in a wicker sledge. You can hit speeds of
around 30kmph, which might not sound fast, but when did you last see a wicker
sledge reaching those speeds?

Watch the sunrise at Ponta Do Rosto
Located on the far east of the island, Ponta Do Rosto is a peninsula which
offers a perfect view of the spectacular Madeiran sunrise. Being only 30 minutes from Funchal, you won't need to wake up too early. And you'll be back
nicely in time for a late breakfast before a mid-morning tee time.
